A Forty-Day Devotional
Return Again
We all walk the shore of time. Our minds searching. Our hearts yearning. Lost in the wonder of the days. This beauty we’re researching. What brings about this season? That comes and goes just like the sea. A sense of power in ourselves. We look for every reason. What gave this chance for us to be? Could this be here just for me? Sometimes we’re close and then we’re far. Come near to peace and see. We all walk our little steps, cling to each one but then. When we learn that letting go can become our friend. It creeps up on us just like a wave spreads out up on the beach. Leaves a bit of a reflection each time that we reach. The never-ending rhythm of the flowing water rolls. Like soft, gentle reminders of the music in our souls. When each one leaves, is seen no more, part of the bigger whole. Please be OK, away we say, we’ll be together once more. Let out a sigh, lift up your eye, believe with all you are. It isn’t far, your Guiding Star, this isn’t a goodbye.
About the Book
“Am I going to be no end, Mom? Tell me that I will be no end.” Those were the words of a four-year-old son that started a search—a search much deeper than his mom could do on her own. There was a truth that came through his innocence—a longing that stretched from the heart of this young child to the mind of a lost soul. This opened up a moment to ask the hard questions. It presented an opportunity to seek God. This forty-day devotional takes the reader on that same journey. It is about how through seeking God, He finds us.
